POPULATION IMAGES

Here we learn more about the geography topic of population by looking at pictures and images of people from around the world. Similarly, we look at examples of places in the world which are sparsely poulated. The varying degrees to which a place is desirable to live in when compared to the wider region a place is in leads to wide variances in population density. Have a look at these images and see if you can identify some of the factors that lead to a place being densely or sparsely popuylated.

Population images

Some places are densely populated and some places are sparsely populated.

As the world's population continues to increase, our cities become more densely populated as they support ever larger populations.

These cities attract new residents from their surrounding regions and they continue to grow in size. They are amongst some of the largest cities in the world.

Great on a tablet PC!

We wanted our pupils to use their tablet PCs in our geography lessons but we found there was a shortage of good resources to use with them. So we started making web pages that can be used in lessons that were accessed through the tablet's browser. What do you think? How can we do this better? Drop us an email to let us know.
